Description

The previously unpublished book on the writings of Borges

In Borges’ Library, located at the foundation that bears his name, one can observe that most of the books deal with philosophy and religion. Through these authors, it is possible to uncover the keys to the philosophy of life of this genius, one that points toward happiness.

The author of The Aleph has left us a wonderful library, of which only a few examples can be seen in these pages—yet they allow us to discover the keys to that happiness. The readings of certain philosophers and mystics are surely those that had a decisive influence on a body of work that offers us a path in the art of living.

The books photographed in this volume represent less than five percent of those preserved by the foundation. Still, within them we can find thoughts that may lead us to happiness. We can observe books ranging from the 18th to the 20th century, in various editions and languages such as English, Italian, German, and, of course, Spanish. This book also allows us to examine many annotations the Argentine author made while reading, revealing the passages that particularly captured his interest.
